"I’ve always had freckles & I didn’t really think much about them. Then while I was pregnant with my son I noticed one rapidly growing changing in size & shape. I went in to have a skin check & they reassured me they thought it was just 'normal pregnancy changes.' I got a call to come in & discuss results. I was then told it was malignant melanoma. While pregnant I had to have it removed. Thankfully the margins were clear. Skin protection & checks are so important for me and my son."
