"I was around 30 when I noticed a freckle on my arm becoming darker & the shape was irregular. After my first screening, I learned it was a melanoma. 15 years later, I apply sunblock religiously, do my best to cover up & go for yearly checkups. I have had several more removals & bear the scars but I feel safer knowing we catch it before it becomes serious again. Wear sunblock, cover when you can & go to the doctor annually."
