This past spring, fashion made a move from minimalist to bold. Stripes, a relaxed fit and calm colors dominated the spring 2016 looks on the runway.
But it's summer, you say. All you want to do is throw on something breezy and head for the waves. You're in luck. You can still borrow from spring 2016 runway looks to stay stylish at your next pool party or long weekend at the beach.
Stripes have always been classic. This spring, stripes came back into action with bold and unexpected colors. You can rock that look with striped rashguards. The Orange Drive zippered rashguard pairs tangerine with navy for a juicy pop of color. The Aqua Stripe zippered rashguard can be paired with prints like Monaco Blue and Coastal Crush for an unexpected edge.
The combination of dressing as though you just got out of bed and wearing low-slung pants was popular on the runways this spring. Fortunately, you can combine both trends to stay relaxed while creating instant fashion sense. Our lounge pants are completely easygoing and pair well with a cute tank or a bikini top. If you prefer the wide-leg look, pull on our beach pants, which hug your curves in all the right places but have a loose, relaxed drape.
The dominant colors on the runway this spring practically screamed "Go to the beach!" Coral and aqua were paired together, much like they are in our Monte Carlo Cabana shift dress. The cool greens from the runways make their appearance in our Palm Breeze print.
If you don't want to hide your fashion sense when you're having fun in the sun this summer, adopt some of the spring 2016 looks from the runways and show off your style on the sand.
